UTEC Inc. launched the Hazardous Chemicals and Biologicals Waste Destruction Business in June 2007, focusing on the development and manufacture of systems for the complete destruction of solid and liquid hazardous chemicals and biologicals. The Waste Destruction Business provides solutions for customers to process their highly reactive, toxic and hazardous waste in-house and on-demand, which is much more cost effective than current disposal methods.

The waste destruction system relies on existing customer relationships and paths to market to achieve initial growth plans, allowing customers to effectively treat their wastes, eliminating handling, storage, and potential releases. The waste destruction system adds a third leg to UTEC's current business strategy, complementing the Energetic Materials and Specialty Chemicals & Raw materials distribution businesses, expanding the services UTEC offers its customers.
