UTEC has contracted with non-affiliated commercial explosives manufacturers, as their primary production quality control analysis and testing source. The proximity of the UTEC facilities which are centrally located in the USA. This make for a preferred choice when it comes to analytical and quality testing.

Compositional quality in terms of formulation quality standards are established and maintained through continued sample analysis. Additionally, functional analysis in terms of detonation performance is also analyzed and documented via the UTEC detonation range and field data acquisition team.

The availability of numerous on-site storage magazines enables a significant amount of explosives to be stored at the facility so that there is no need for multiple shipments of materials for longer term study and analysis. This can be a large cost savings in terms of hazardous materials transportation.
